Hi! my name is Nik, I am an Autistic, Queer, and Anxious artist from Brisbane (Meanjin), Australia that goes by the pseudonym WEEWAAZ online. WEEWAAZ was a project I started right before I dropped out of art school.
In art school, I was fairly uninspired with no time to make art for myself. One afternoon I gave myself the project of making one piece of art every day, even if it was terrible. Eventually, I dropped out of art school but still kept creating every day.
Fast forward just over 2 years now and I'm pretty glad I started the project. I have an unhealthy obsession with making art now.. it's what I do for work and what I do to unwind.
This shop is run by me and I have some great helpers to give me a hand.
